I know in the past I've made comments about how I don't like this movie because it's been said that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also said I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.
By now you should all know what I write about in these articles so I'll just go ahead and start!
Another fun idea that came to mind, we take two princesses see just how much they have in common. I wanted Pocahontas and Rapunzel first because Punz is a pretty good balance of qualities found in the classic, renaissance and revival princesses so it's easy to do this with her. Plus, it's a very common misconception that Poca is just this peaceful spiritual wise soul, and that's only half of her personality. What better way to debunk that than to compare her to the one of the bubbliest princesses
Tangled is my favorite Disney movie for many reasons besides the wonderful storyline and beautiful imagery. I really relate to Rapunzel in so many ways. I try to be optimistic and see the beauty in the small things in life. I try to stay hopeful and occupy my time with many hobbies. I have so many interests and love learning about them and learning about the world and other cultures. We also share physical features, brown hair and green eyes, and prefer walking outside barefoot. I also have some German heritage, so I relate to her that way as well.
In all my years on Fanpop, I've never written an in-depth article about Ariel. Probably because she's already so thoroughly discussed. Plus, both her fans and critics are a little...over the top, to put it mildly. I always feel like I'm one of the few people who have Ariel as more of a "middle" princess on their list, so in a way, I kind of feel like I'm well suited for this type of article.
Now, I don't really agree with judging the princesses solely on the basis of whether or not they're good role models. Especially considering these standards don't seem to exist for other...
Like I said the princess list, this just a preview of how well Moana does if or when she joins the lineup, so it's a smaller pool of users, no quotes from users and no extravagant pics. Without further ado, let's get to it.
12. Brave-196 points
Fanpop is not very kind to this film at all, much like its princess. Pixar made a very halfassed attempt at writing a Disney Princess movie and strangely, it doesn't feel like a Disney film or a Pixar film. Some may even compare it to early 2000s Dreamworks. (read: Shrek) People also find this movie...
While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for comments or use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small preview of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.
This idea just kinda popped into my head. Basically as the title suggests, we take a scenario from a DP movie and analyze how the other princesses would behave or react in that situation. Today, our scenario is...
Entering the West Wing
Belle is considered by many to be one of the "good girls" of the DP lineup but she does have a bit of mischievous side and that shines through when her curiosity gets the better of her and she disobeys the Beast's direct orders to stay out of the castle's west wing.
The five lands within the magic kingdom have managed to live in relative harmony for centuries. However, that peace is about to be broken as the spell keeping the villains barred off from the rest of the kingdoms is beginning to fade.
I’m a single-parent kid and I’m proud! Put that on a t-shirt. No matter how many times tv shows and movies try to portray kids of divorce as broken and depressed, I will never be defeated.
